New users: Accessing Quartzy for the first time via the Tufts Marketplace
If you're brand new to Quartzy, and you access Quartzy for the first time via the Tufts Marketplace, a Guest account will be created for you automatically; you will also have the option of becoming a Licensed User. Here's how to access and join Quartzy via the Marketplace:
-
Log into the Tufts Marketplace, and navigate to the Suppliers section. Click on the Quartzy tile.
- Tip: you may need to allow pop-ups in order for the Quartzy PunchOut to open.
You will land in the Quartzy Shop with a pop-up in the upper right corner.
From here, you can choose to either remain a Guest User, or become a Licensed User (both account types are no-cost to users at Tufts University). You can find the differences of a Guest vs Licensed user below:
Licensed User: Has full access to the whole Quartzy platform, including Requests, Shop/PunchOut, and Inventory, within shared spaces called Labs. Only Licensed Users can join Labs, where they can view each other’s data. Licensed Users may be Admins (who place orders) or Members (who submit requests). Learn more about Admin vs. Member roles
Guest User: Can only access the Quartzy Shop via PunchOut from the Tufts Marketplace. They operate in a private environment with no access to Lab data or other users’ orders. Guests cannot order for others or use non-PunchOut checkout methods.
To remain a Guest user, simply click the X in the You're not signed in to Quartzy window to close it, and continue to shop and place your order(s) (see the How to purchase from Quartzy using PunchOut section below for instructions).
To become a Licensed user, click the Sign up and Register button.
You'll be directed to the Tufts authentication system; log in with your Tufts credentials here (if you're not already logged in), and you'll then be automatically redirected back to Quartzy as a Licensed User!
As a Licensed User, you can either continue to use your own Quartzy Lab (see the How to purchase from Quartzy using PunchOut section below; you will need to initiate a new punchout session to place an order), or join your teammates in an existing Quartzy Lab.
To join an existing Quartzy Lab
After you have gone through the process above to register your Licensed User account, contact your Lab Manager/Admin and ask them to add you to their Quartzy Lab. Here's how they can do so: Add members to a Quartzy Lab
No further action is needed to join the Lab; you will be added automatically.
