Managing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemicals in your Quartzy inventory is time-consuming and tedious. Quartzy’s SDS automation solution eliminates this hassle by automatically linking manufacturer-specific SDS files to corresponding inventory items—saving time, reducing errors, and ensuring critical safety information is always at your fingertips. This allows your lab to operate more efficiently while helping with compliance.

Quartzy’s SDS automation solution takes away the manual work of finding, storing, and managing SDS forms for items in your Quartzy inventory. Here’s how it works:

  1. Quartzy reviews the vendor and catalog number for every item in your Quartzy inventory. This applies to both existing and newly added inventory items.
  2. If the vendor provides an SDS for an item, Quartzy automatically adds it to the Safety Details section of the item details page.
    a. To view this, select an inventory item and navigate to the Safety tab in the item details.

    b. Within the Safety Details section, you can view or download the manufacturer-specific SDS form:

  3. To view all items in your inventory with a Quartzy-provided SDS, simply use the Has SDS toggle found in the inventory module.Has SDS.png
