How do promo codes work?
Promo Code Balances
Starting in July 2025, some promo codes will carry a balance that can be used across multiple orders. If you don’t use the full promo code value in one transaction, the remaining balance will be available for future orders until the code expires. Promo codes with balances will show the available balance on the promo code tile in the cart.
Example: If your promo code is worth $100 and you use $30 on one order, you’ll have $70 left to use later.
Organizations that place orders via PunchOut integration are not eligible for promo code balances and will only receive one-time use codes.
One-Time Use Promo Codes
Some promo codes can only be applied to single transactions and do not carry a balance. These are usually part of supplier-specific campaigns or limited-time offers. If your code is single-use, the balance will not be displayed on the promo code tile in the cart.
How do I get a promo code?
Quartzy makes promo codes available to users in multiple ways — via email, pop-ups in your account, and more! Please carefully review the rules and restrictions for each promo code to ensure you understand which purchases it can be applied to.
How can I apply a promo code to an order?
If you’re checking out with a Credit Card or Purchase Order:
On the Cart page, you’ll see a list of available promo codes underneath the Order Summary. Click “Apply” on the code you want to use, and any eligible discounts will be automatically applied to your order total.
If you’re using an eProcurement platform (like Jaggaer or SciQuest):
On the Cart page, you’ll see a list of available promo codes underneath the Order Summary. Click “Apply” on the code you want to use, and any eligible discounts will be automatically applied to your order total.
Click the Print Quote button and use the item details on that quote to enter the requisition into your ePro system. Attach the quote to your requisition and paste the promo code into the notes or comments section if available.
If you’re using a PunchOut integration:
Organizations that place orders via PunchOut integration are not eligible for promo code balances and will only receive one-time use codes. How many promo codes can be applied to an order?
Only 1 promo code can be applied to an order.
How many times can I use a promo code?
Promo code balances can be applied to an unlimited number of orders until either:
- The balance is exhausted, or
- The promo code expires
One-time use promo codes can only be used once.
What happens if I cancel an order that was placed with a promo code?
If your order was placed with a promo code balance, the cancelled discount will be added back to the same promo code.
If your order was placed with a one-time use promo code, the promo code will not be re-issued.
What if I forget to apply a promo code during checkout? Can it be added later?
Unfortunately, no. A promo code can’t be applied after an order is placed — whether it was forgotten or received afterward. If you're unsure whether a code was applied to an order, please email support@quartzy.com, and our support team can help.
Do promo codes apply to shipping & handling fees?
No — promo codes can only be applied to the total cost of the items you’re purchasing from Quartzy.
Tip: to qualify for free standard shipping, add more items to get your total above $199 — the promo code discount does not impact the free shipping threshold.
I got an error message when I entered my promo code in the cart. What do I do?
Send an email to support@quartzy.com. Be sure to include the promo code and catalog numbers for the items in your Cart and our Support Team will be able to assist you.
