New users: Accessing Quartzy for the first time

If you're brand new to Quartzy, you will need to either:

• Create your own Quartzy Lab 
  • Use this option if your lab/team isn't already using Quartzy 
• Join an existing Quartzy Lab 
  • If your lab/team is already using Quartzy, follow these instructions to join them 

You'll find step-by-step instructions below for each! 

How to create your own Quartzy Lab: 

• Navigate to app.quartzy.com and enter your firstname.lastname@nyulangone.org email address. 

• You'll be redirected to the NYU Langone Health authentication system. On this page, authenticate using your NYU Langone credentials. You'll then be automatically redirected back to Quartzy.

• Your Quartzy user account will be created automatically, and you’ll be taken to a NYU Langone-specific landing page for new users at Quartzy. Select Create your own lab. 

• On the Create Lab page, enter your Lab's name, and then select Next. That’s it! You'll be taken to your new Quartzy Lab. 

How to join an existing Quartzy Lab:

• To join an existing Quartzy Lab, ask your lab manager/admin to invite you to their Lab in Quartzy. Here’s how they can invite you: Add members to a Quartzy Lab
• Once they invite you, you'll receive an invitation email from Quartzy. Select the Join [Colleague] button in the email.

  

• You'll be brought to NYU Langone's authentication page. Enter the appropriate credentials there, and then you'll be redirected back to Quartzy. 
• That's it! Your user account is now created, and you'll be taken to the Quartzy Lab that your Lab Admin/Manager invited you to. 
  • If you need access to any other labs, have an Admin send an invitation from each lab you need access to - you'll be added automatically. You can switch between labs in the lab selection menu in the upper left corner: 

Existing users: Access/log into your Quartzy account

Note: once logged into your Quartzy user account, you'll remain signed in for up to 30 days. 

You will be logged out automatically if you do not access your user account for more than 7 consecutive days.  

Here's how to log in to your Quartzy user account:

• Visit app.quartzy.com.
  • If your most recent Quartzy session is still logged in, you'll be taken right to your Quartzy account. If you land on the Quartzy login page, follow the instructions below. 
  • If your authentication has expired since your last visit, you'll be taken to the Quartzy login page. Enter your  firstname.lastname@nyulangone.org email address in the Email field, then select the Next button. 
    • You'll be redirected to the NYU Langone authentication system. On this page, authenticate using your NYU credentials. You'll then be automatically redirected back to Quartzy.
