If you are already using barcode labels to keep track of your inventory items, you are one step ahead! Simply add those serial numbers to your Quartzy inventory items so you can use a barcode scanner to easily find and edit items.
1. For every Type of item that you are tracking with barcodes, create a custom field called [Your Lab's] Serial Number. This will distinguish your serial number from the serial number that Quartzy automatically generates and adds to each item.
2. Click on the item name and scroll down to the Item Details section. Click Edit Item Details.
3. Fill in the custom serial number and click Save Changes.
Tip: Easily search for items using the Search bar when looking for information that was placed in custom fields.
