We know unexpected costs aren't ideal, especially when you're trying to make every dollar of your research budget count. That’s why we’re doing everything we can behind the scenes to absorb these charges whenever possible.
If there’s a charge we just can’t avoid, it will show up in your cart under Shipping and Handling Details — and we’ll always be transparent about where it’s coming from and why. We're monitoring these changes daily and will keep rolling back charges whenever possible.
How to Identify Surcharges:

Click See Shipping & Handling Details underneath the Order Summary

Any applicable surcharge will be included there as a line item
Step-by-Step Breakdown:
1. Add an item to your cart by accepting a quote or adding a request from the Quartzy Shop.
2. Click on the cart icon on the top right side of the menu bar:
3. In the cart:
- Any tariff surcharges will appear as Handling fees.
- A combined total of all handling fees is shown in the Order Summary.
- Click See Shipping & Handling Details for an itemized breakdown of each fee.
