How the Inventory Audit Trail Works

Your Quartzy Inventory is a place where everyone in your lab can keep track of everything that belongs in it.  We've updated this module so now almost any update to an inventory item is now automatically logged in our Audit Trail!  

The Audit Trail will capture any type of update to inventory items, including details about how and when an item was created, quantity updates, revised expiration dates, new lot numbers, and vendor/catalog number changes.

Viewing the Audit Trail for an Item

1. Navigate to the Inventory Item

2. Click "History" in the navigation, or scroll down to the bottom of the item details panel

Events are displayed in reverse chronological order, with the item creation date always visible.  If there are more than 5 events to display, you can click "Load More" to show additional events.

 

Exporting an Item's Audit Trail

1. Navigate to the Inventory Item

2. Click "Export Item History", which downloads a CSV of all the item's events
