Scispot Integration

Quartzy and Scispot have come together to link your lab's experiments with your inventory management and ordering. Now, when you add an inventory item in Quartzy, the item automatically syncs to Scispot’s Labsheets!

Scispot can then be used to create an order request in Quartzy. Researchers can also set up automated re-ordering when an item is used in an experiment or when the quantity falls below a specified threshold. Scispot also notifies users when reagents are running low. 

Requirements 

• The user configuring the integration must be a Super Admin in Scispot
• Your LabSheets should be configured in Scispot (usually done when onboarded onto Scispot) 

How to add the Quartzy app in Scispot

• Note: you must be a Super Admin in Scispot in order to configure the integration 
• In Quartzy: 

  • You will be obtaining a Lab ID and an Access Token from Quartzy. Be sure to copy/paste and save these values, as you will need to enter them in Scispot to connect your accounts.

  • Lab ID:

    • In the upper left corner of your Quartzy page, open the lab selection menu and click the gear icon next to the lab you want to connect with Scispot. This will bring you to the Manage Labs area. 

      

    • Once in the Manage Labs area, click on the Developers tab. The Lab ID will be displayed at the top of the Developers page. Click on the copy icon and save this value. 

      

  • Access Token:
    • Navigate to https://app.quartzy.com/profile/access-tokens and click the Add Access Token button 
    • Enter a name for your token (something like 'Scispot Integration 20YY' is recommended) and click Save
    • Copy the token that's generated and save this value.
• In Scispot:
  • Navigate to the App Store using the left sidebar 
  • Scroll down to Third-Party Apps, and click on the Quartzy app. A Quartzy Configuration window will open. 

• In the Quartzy Configuration window, enter the Lab ID and Access Token obtained from Quartzy, and click the Connect button. Your Quartzy and Scispot accounts are now connected! 
• To complete your configuration, click on the Quartzy App.
• On the next page, select the Target Labsheet from the dropdown, and map your Columns appropriately. Select your notification preferences, and then click the Finish button. 

That's it! Your Quartzy-Scispot integration is now live.
