Effortless Quotes is a novel way to save your lab money by giving you alternative sources for buying lab products. We've leveraged our user base to get competitive prices that we pass on to our users! The feature is free and there's no obligation to buy.
Below you will find a list of some of the most frequently asked questions and answers.
How do I generate an offer?
If your lab is enrolled in Effortless Quotes, just submit an order request for an item on Quartzy like you normally do. From there, we'll start searching for a better price and if we can find you a good deal, we’ll send you an offer!
Note: Make sure the price you enter reflects any discounts you get!
How long does it take to receive an offer?
On average, if our Life Science Team can find a better price, you'll receive an offer from us within 24 hours. If you see the blue ellipsis next to your request it means we're still looking!
What are the shipping costs? Shipping speeds?
Shipping is FREE, whether you’re buying a single box of pipette tips or a -80 freezer. Fees may apply for items requiring special handling (dry ice, hazardous items, etc.), but these will be clearly marked on each offer. Similarly, shipping speeds will be marked on the offer as well so you can make an informed decision about whether you'd like to purchase from Quartzy.
Can I request expedited shipping?
Yes! Review this article for instructions and additional information about how to request expedited shipping.
How do I purchase items from Quartzy?
If you see an offer you like, simply accept the offer and Quartzy will become the vendor in that case. You can complete your purchase from Quartzy using ANY institutional method. Use this link here for instructions on your specific method.
Why are my offers from Quartzy not better than the prices we get with our institutional discounts?
Our offers are based off of the prices you enter in your order request, so an updated price means the best savings! After you enter in your institutional pricing the first time, just request the same item from your order history or inventory next time to make sure those prices are accurate.
