How do I generate an offer?
Just submit an order request like you normally do. From there, we'll start searching for a better price. If we find a good deal, an offer will appear on the request!
Note: Make sure the price you enter reflects any discounts you get!
How long does it take to receive an offer?
On average, if our Life Science Team can find a better price, you'll receive an offer right away, but we will continue to look for up to 24 hours.
What are the shipping costs? Shipping speeds?
Standard Shipping is free on orders above $199. Fees may apply for items that require special handling (dry ice, hazardous items, etc.), but these will be clearly marked in the Cart.
Similarly, shipping speeds will be marked on the offer as well so you can make an informed decision about whether you'd like to purchase from Quartzy.
Can I request expedited shipping?

If an item does not display an option to expedite, it may still be available! To request an expedited shipping method, email orders@quartzy.com with the item's Catalog # and Quote # before placing the order.
How do I purchase items from Quartzy?
If you see an offer you like, simply click the Accept Quote button, and Quartzy will become the vendor for that request. Follow instructions on this page to review your payment options.
Why are the offers from Quartzy not always better than the prices we get with our institutional discounts?
The Quartzy Shop offers millions of products from top manufacturers and distributors. We do our best to offer unbeatable prices, but can't always beat the discounts available to you at your institution. If we can't beat your price, you may opt to purchase items from a supplier outside of Quartzy. Make sure to keep track of the request and order details for that purchase in your lab's Requests module to ensure proper record keeping, expense reporting, etc.
