Week of February 24, 2014: Some major changes to the Equipment Sign-Up Module!

Hi Quartzy Users,

Another month has gone by, and this time we've rolled out with some major changes to the Equipment Sign-Up Module. Many of these have been in response to the suggestions and feature requests we've been hearing from you, so we hope you like the changes!

  • Week View: You can now see your equipment calendar in both a day view and week view, making it easier for you to quickly scan for free spots.
  • Drag and Adjust Bookings: Drag your mouse along the calendar interface and use the pop-up dialog to make any necessary time adjustments. 
  • Edit bookings: No need to delete your bookings to make changes, you can now edit your bookings on Equipment Sign-Up module! 
  • 15 Minute Increments: Now available to more accurately track usage of your shared equipment.
  • Easier Overnight / Multi-day bookingsWith the new week view, you can now drag a booking across multiple days to quickly book as much time as you need. You can also easily change the dates inside the create/edit booking dialog.

    Hi there! Any way we could add color or something to help delineate which day is which? It's a little hard to read and seems easy to accidentally book the wrong day / time.

    Can we limit the amount of time people are allowed to book so no one person dominates the instrument?

    Hi Tamara. The manager of the instrument has the ability to edit or delete the bookings that group members make on an instrument. You can also be notified with an email every time someone signs up for equipment. (Edit that setting here: https://support.quartzy.com/hc/en-us/articles/202096743) That way, you can be on top of who is making the bookings most often.
