Inventory and request history remains when members are removed from the Lab

The actions within the Inventory and Requests modules differ slightly. 


When a member leaves, items that they owned will remain in the Inventory module.

Since the Owner field in the Inventory is a required field and the owner must be someone currently in the lab, our system will automatically assign a new Owner. If you'd prefer to select a new owner yourself, follow this process to manually change the Owner of those items in bulk: Edit inventory item details via Excel


When a member leaves, all their past requests will remain in the Lab.

The member's name will still be listed as the Requester on their old requests in order for the Lab to keep a proper record.
